The Urban Hills community is designed to equip servants both in the church and as the church as we continue Jesus’ message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
In the church
Jesus designed his church to serve and sacrifice for each other. This is the beauty of community. In Acts 2:42-46, Scripture illuminates the value and purpose of a community working in unison for one purpose (Acts 1:8) and pouring into each other through everyday life. God has graciously given us time, talents, and treasures to be shared and used to glorify Him. There are many areas you can serve in the Urban Hills Community: (some examples)

As the church
Jesus designed his church to serve the greater community beyond ourselves (Acts 1:8). We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus by reaching out to the poor, disenfranchised and often marginalized portions of society both locally and globally. We call these part of society the ‘invisible voices’ because they are not heard. Our community is focused on two main areas:
Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa. After much prayer and the Spirit’s guiding our Global Engagement Team has led our church’s global focus to the people of Burkina Faso. For more information on how you can change the world globally email global@urbanhills.org 
TRAC
Urban Hills has locally focused on the TRAC organization. TRAC (Transition Resource Action Center) is a one-stop center that offers access to affordable housing, livable-wage jobs and a safety net for current and former foster youth transitioning out of substitute care. TRAC offers a safety net; it is a place where current and former foster youth can find help to get a job, enroll in college, establish a home, access health care, manage a budget, connect to a caring community of adults and peers, and plan for their future. Church Planting
We believe in Gospel movement and church multiplication. We desire to plant the Gospel all over the world and allow God to build His church. Jesus used the word ‘kingdom’ most often in his teachings. The kingdom mindset sees churches partnering together for the benefit of gospel movement and to see Jesus’ church grow. We encourage you to check out the churches we have partnered with. Pray for them, support them, and encourage the people you know in their areas to join in their journey.
